I use the term satire for content that refers to something real, and parody for content that refers to somthing fictional. For example, episode 1301 "The Ring" references Disney, the Jonas Brothers, and Mickey Mouse. Since Disney is real, the reference to Disney is satire. The Jonas Brothers are also satirized and are listed as a "Celebrities" reference because they are individuals (whereas Disney is a company). Since Mickey Mose is a fictional character, the Micky Mouse content is parody. Note that in "The Ring", much of the Mickey Mouse content is both satire and parody at the same time.

My story outline for new s17 episode
Abbreviations in Notes Column
CC-2006-10: This episode was selected by Comedy Central for their "Ten South Parks That Changed the World" marathon just before the start if the 11th season.[6]
PARA-2007: This episode was selected by Paramount Comedy 1 for their "Top Ten Episodes" list in May 2007.[7]
Footnotes
1 : Themes mainly include taboo topics and other items that create controversy, except anything covered by the other categories.
2 : Satire refers to something real that is not a famous person. See satire vs. parody discussion above.
3 : Celebrity references include any "characters and events" that are "based on real people" — even when the voices are not impersonated (such as Korn's guest appearance in "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery").
4 : Parody content is like satire but refers to something fictional, and is written and structured to be obviously making fun of the original work of fiction. For example, episode 613 is a parody of "Lord of the Rings", specifically the movie trilogy.
5 : Items are tagged as References when they don't rise to the level of the definitions for the other categories. For example, the sub-plot of Medicinal Fried Chicken involving Cartman's participation in an underground trafficking ring is a reference to "Scarface", but is not extensive or obvious enough to constitute a full parody of Scarface.
